This is a bar shoe having a "T" insert in the middle. The bar and "T" insert increase the surface at the hind and central part of the hoof. This extra surface supports the hoof on penetrable surfaces, thus avoiding any extension of the coffin bone, limiting the stresses on the deep flexor tendon, on the inferior check ligament and the pressures on the navicular bone while protecting frog and sole. This type of shoe also helps in distributing the load on the heels more evenly, reducing this way the pressure on other structures in cases of caudal cracks. It can be cut into an "open toe heart bar shoe" or a "z-bar shoe" to treat various foot problems. Built in sole relief and holes punched in such a way that the nails can be driven into the wall with the right inclination.
